Terms of Use

Effective date: May 17, 2026

These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Verse Bible. By using the app, you agree to use it for personal Bible reading, reflection, study, worship, and lawful sharing.

Who We Are

Verse Bible is a Bible reading and reflection app published by Verse River / KnowHoly. The app is designed to help users read scripture verse by verse, save verses, write notes, listen to optional ambient audio, use focus reading mode, and create shareable scripture images.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Verse Bible or use it in a way that harms other people, violates the law, infringes intellectual property rights, bypasses app protections, or interferes with the app's operation.

Bible Content

Verse Bible includes or requests Bible text from public-domain and third-party sources, including translations such as KJV, WEB, YLT, and BBE. Source credits are listed on the Attribution page.

You are responsible for following the license terms of each translation when copying, exporting, publishing, or sharing scripture outside the app. Before public launch, the publisher should keep written records confirming the allowed use of every bundled or requested translation.

Audio, Fonts, and Brand Assets

Ambient audio, fonts, logos, images, and other app assets are included for use inside Verse Bible. Do not extract, resell, repackage, or redistribute app assets separately unless you have the right to do so from the original source or rights holder.

User Content

You are responsible for notes, reflections, saved verses, generated images, and other content you create or share from the app. Do not create or share content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, infringing, deceptive, or violates another person's rights.

Verse Bible does not claim ownership of your personal notes or reflections. If you share scripture images or text outside the app, you are responsible for the message, context, and any required attribution.

Sharing and Downloads

Verse Bible can generate share images, copy verse text, and download picture-mode frames on your device. Browser sharing, clipboard, image generation, and downloads may vary by device, browser, operating system, and app-store wrapper.

Local Storage

Verse Bible stores saved verses, notes, reading progress, Bible version, audio choice, reader settings, visual settings, and optional downloaded Bible chapters locally in your browser. This version does not provide accounts or cloud sync, so local data may be lost if browser storage is cleared, the app is removed, or the device is reset.

The in-app Reset App Data button clears Verse Bible data stored on the current device and browser, including saved verses, notes, reading progress, settings, schedules, and downloaded chapters.

No Accounts or Cloud Sync

This version of Verse Bible does not include sign-in, user accounts, daily email delivery, or cloud backup. You are responsible for keeping any notes, images, or saved content you want to preserve outside the app.

No Professional Advice

Verse Bible is a reading and reflection tool. It does not provide pastoral, legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or emergency advice. If you need professional support, contact a qualified professional, local ministry leader, or emergency service as appropriate.

Availability

The app is provided as-is and as available. External Bible APIs, browser sharing, install behavior, optional notifications, audio playback, volume controls, screen/background behavior, image export, reader focus mode, auto-scroll, and offline support may vary by device, browser, operating system, and network connection.

Changes to the App or Terms

We may update Verse Bible or these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last updated. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Verse Bible and its publisher are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of local notes, saved verses, settings, reading progress, selected themes, audio preferences, or generated images.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make Bible reading easier for the average person and to help people slow down, meditate on the Word of God, and keep reading without feeling overwhelmed by long blocks of text. Verse Bible presents scripture one verse at a time so users can build steady reading habits, reflect with focus, and finish books of the Bible with more peace and consistency.
